Seven of the orginal founders are pictured here: Brothers Joseph M. Stills, Raymon Cowans, Willie Turner, Stanley Williams, Richard Lambert, Carrol Bartholomew and Charles Finley. The Supreme Council of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated approved the charter request of Upsilon Nu Chapter on October 12, 1971.  The chapter was chartered at the home of Brother Raymon Cowans in  Mechanicsville Virginia.  Brother Joseph Stills received the official letter of acceptance.  The application was officiated by Brother Melvin Washington. The first official chapter history was written in 1984 by Bro. Jerome Jackson.  A summary version was updated in 2010 Brother Finley was named Basileus Emeritus in 1998.  Finley transitioned to Omega Chapter on Founders Day, November 17, 2013.  Click here to view the list of  Omega Chapter Members
